BRB Pets is a Toronto based online pet store that also designs innovative new products for pets. I was contacted a while back when they were initially starting off and asked to design a full branding package, including a logo, Shopify website, and a print brochure to show off their new products.
To start, we needed some branding. Some logo sketches were created alongside a few colour pallets and font selections. From there a few variations were created in Adobe Illustrator. Once we had a solid winner, we were set with the main components for our brand.
Next up, a wireframe was created to work out the flow of the site, then to a fully rendered concept in Adobe Illustrator. The challenge was finding a layout that would uniquely display an above average amount of content in an easy to read format. The solution was a clean grid layout with visual links, using colour contrast to highlight specific sections.
Moving on to the print brochure. Once all of the copy and imagery were planned and worked out, a layout was created in Adobe InDesign based on the newly created brand guidelines.
