This was a custom illustration created as a book cover concept, illustrated in 2024 using Clip Studio Paint. My process with this project was to start off with a very basic set of greyscale thumbnails to convey the initial idea. Then the chosen thumbnail is refined into into foreground, mid ground and background shapes and refined further into a detailed greyscale rendering. Once the greyscale version is approved a final round of colour is added using a combination of gradient maps and colour layers. Another one of my favourites.
